Shri Manish Kumar is 1991 batch IA&AS officer and took charge as Director General of the Academy on 28th February 2022. He has graduated in Economics (Hons) and is also a Certified Internal Auditor and is holding Certificate in Public financial management conducted by IMF. During his long career in the department spanning over 31 years, he has a rich and vast experience of working in the fields of Civil Audit, Accounts and Entitlement Functions at different offices of the CAG of India and has also managed Human Resource related Functions, Examination, Works and Estate functions of the entire department.
He has carried out multiple international audit assignments including at United Nations Secretariat, Food and Agriculture Organisation, UN World Tourism Organisation and World Intellectual Property Organisation.
He has been member of the INTOSAI working group on public debt. He has also worked as CAO in Delhi Development Authority and as Financial Advisor in New Delhi Municipal Council.
