Shri Kandarp V Patel joined the Academy as a director in November 2020. At the Academy, he teaches courses in public finance, law, policy and government accounts. He also looks after short-term training courses for in-service officers.
Before joining Academy, he was on deputation as a director in the Fifteenth Finance Commission where he worked closely with the Commission in the areas of public finance and fiscal federalism. He produced high quality research and advised the Commission on tax revenue sharing between center and states, resource mobilization and public financial management reforms. Prior to that, he was a deputy accountant-general in the office of Accountant General (Audit), Andhra Pradesh supervising administration and information systems audit groups. He managed audit of public procurement system and single desk policy of the state government.
Shri Kandarp is a member of the 2012 batch of Indian Audit and Accounts Service. He did his under-graduation in engineering from Gujarat University and post-graduation in management from Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA). He worked in FMCG industry for around three years before joining public service.
