Ms Anim Cherian assumed charge as Principal Accountant General (Audit I), Kerala on 1 January 2021. She is from the 1996 batch of the Indian Audit and Accounts Service. She has vast experience in the audit of State and Central Government departments including Income Tax, Customs and Central Excise/GST, Railway and Posts & Telegraph. She has served in the Offices at Tamil Nadu and Kerala besides serving as Principal Director at the Office of the CAG of India. Her international assignments include those with the Food and Agricultural Organization at Vietnam, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Colombia, Embassy audits at Nepal and New Zealand and audit of International Organization for Migration at Brussels and The Hague.
