He joined in IAAD department in December 1988. He worked in the Office of the Principal Accountant General (G&SSA) for the first five years and then in the Office of the
Accountant General (Economic & Revenue Sector Audit), Tamil Nadu in Receipt Audit Wings such as Income Tax, Central Excise, Sales Tax and State Receipts (particularly in Registration) for a brief spell.
