The Office

The Office of the  Accountant General (Audit) Meghalaya comprises of four branches, as below, each headed by Sr. Deputy Accountant General and Deputy Accountant General rank officer.

AMG-I Shri Sagar Vijay Kale, Deputy Accountant General Responsible for the audit of all central and state government departments/ offices/ autonomous bodies/institutions in Meghalaya. These audits are carried out year-round through  field audit parties each headed by a Senior Audit Officer or Audit Officer
AGM-III Shri Sagar Vijay Kale,
Deputy Accountant General
All revenue earning departments of the Government of Meghalaya (Excise; Registration; Taxation & Stamps;  Mining & Geology; Forests & Environment; Transport; Land Revenue; Power; Lottery; Registrar of Companies). These audits are carried out year-round through field audit parties each headed by a Senior Audit Officer or Audit Officer.

AMG- II &

Administration

Shri Subbaiah,
Deputy Accountant General

General office administration, house keeping, estate management, recruitments, promotions, staff deployment, etc. The officer is also designated as the Public Information Officer of the office under the Right to Information Act.

Responsible for the audit of all public sector corporations and companies of the Government of Meghalaya; three Central autonomous bodies (Rajiv Gandhi Indian Institute of Management, Shillong; North Eastern Hill University, Shillong; North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences, Shillong); one State autonomous body (Meghalaya Khadi Industries Board); These audits are carried out year-round through field audit parties each headed by a Senior Audit Officer or Audit Officer.
