 Deputy Accoutant General (Pension)

Smt.Valsamma Thomas, Dy.Accountant General (Pension) in the Office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E) belongs to 2015 batch of IA &AS.  A native of Palai, Kottayam District.   She had done her graduation in commerce from Providence Women’s College Calicut and Post Graduation in Commerce from Vimala College, Thrissur, affiliated to Calicut University.  She joined in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department as a Section Officer (Commercial) in October 1987.  Prior to induction to IA &AS she had worked in the Offices of IA&AD in Thiruvananthapuram and Chennai and audited various State and Central Public Sector Undertakings, Local Bodies and Panchayat Raj Institutions.  She worked on deputation as Internal Audit Officer in Sree Chithra Thirunal Institute of Medical Science, Thiruvananthapuram.
Prior to her present posting she was holding the charge of Deputy Director, in the Office of the Principal Director of Audit (AF &WR), New Delhi, at Kolkata Branch.
